The Dene Lea is personally run by Sue and Donald Wood. Our aim is to provide all the comforts of home without any of the distractions, so you can relax in comfort. Whether you come for a long stay or a short break you can be sure of a warm welcome.

We are situated in the charming "Old Town" part of Scarborough, overlooking the whole of the North Bay. The hotel is a listed Early Victorian Building, in which we have tried to capture the charm and combine it with the modern day needs of the discerning guest. Comfort and hospitality is paramount to your stay here with us at the Dene Lea Hotel, therefore we take great consideration in having a welcoming smile upon arrival and great care is taken over the cleanliness of the Hotel.

All the front rooms have panoramic sea views over looking the North Bay, with En-suite available. All bedrooms are heated and have washbasins, shaver points, bedside lights, tea & coffee making facilities, and televisions for your comfort. We have spacious double and family rooms available.

If there was anything extra that you required upon arrival, please ask and we hope to accommodate your every request.

We have a comfortable sea view lounge with colour Television, with excellent comfortable seating. All our bedrooms are heated and have washbasins, razor points, bedside lights, tea/coffee making facilities and television. For the steam train enthusiast there is a steam locomotive which runs from Pickering to Grosmont through some very picturesque scenery.

The Historic city of York is nearby, also Castle Howard scene of the Television series "Brideshead Revisited", the picture postcard village of Thornton Dale, the quaint fishing towns of Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay - to name but a few.
